The historical apartment Moneti is situated within the ancient walls of Cortona, the Etruscan town that was once the home of Santa Margherita, the Patron Saint of the town. In the middle of the 1900’s, Professor Charles van Doren also made it his home.
This three floor beautiful townhouse has been completely renovated in order to offer all modern amenities. From the main entrance on via Moneti, you access a cozy living area complete with a fireplace and reading nook, a new fully equipped kitchen with a full size refrigerator and gourmet stove as well as a dining area. On the lower level there is a bedroom with a marble bathroom and a separate laundry room. There are heated floors on this level of the house, and you can also access an alley that leads to a small patio behind the house. The master suite on the top floor has a king size bed and an astonishing new marble bathroom with a skylight from which you can enjoy the hypnotizing views of the Chiana valley.
The apartment’s central location gives you easy access to the many restaurants, boutique shops and the buzzing life in Cortona. You are just steps away from some of the incredible buildings and churches that display the historical evolution of the town.
