La Colombaia is a beautifully restored 16th-century Leopoldine house in the Val di Chiana, preserving its original architectural features. Commissioned by Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo of Tuscany, these farmhouses were built to improve the lives of farmers after the reclamation of the land.
The villa seamlessly blends the charm of traditional Tuscan design with modern comforts, including air conditioning in all rooms. Indoors, the ground floor includes a spacious living room with a fireplace, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the garden and outdoor dining space. Two double bedrooms, a full bathroom, a service bathroom, and a laundry room are also on this level.
On the first floor, the original Leopoldine kitchen showcases its historic elevated fireplace and stone sink. Here, four bedrooms (three doubles and one suite with a double bed and two single beds) all have en-suite bathrooms (three with showers, one with a tub). An additional single room is available on request.
The second floor hosts the charming Colombaia, accessible via a wooden staircase, with a bright double room and en-suite bathroom. All beds are standard size (190x160 cm), and each bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries for guests.
Outside, the villa offers a large swimming pool (7x16 meters), surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, perfect for relaxation. Guests can also enjoy a pizza oven, BBQ, ping pong table, and a swing, making it ideal for both fun and relaxation in the expansive garden.
