Villa la Colombaia is an exquisite 16th-century Leopoldine house in Val di Chiana, beautifully restored to blend historic Tuscan charm with modern comfort. Set amidst a property with olive and cypress trees, the villa showcases the iconic "Leopoldine" architecture. This farmhouse style is known for its symmetrical design, spacious layouts, and open courtyards, reflecting Tuscany’s agricultural heritage and serving as a hallmark of traditional Tuscan architecture, particularly in the Val di Chiana region.
The villa spans three levels, offering a total of 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and 1 half-bath. The first floor features the original Leopoldine kitchen with its iconic elevated fireplace, stone sink, and access to the Colombaia Tower. The top level holds the Colombaia, a charming double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Guests will find a welcome set of towels (including pool towels) and toiletries provided. The property features a large private pool, where guests can relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the rolling Tuscan hills and sunsets over Cortona.
The villa is accessible via a paved road and is within a 15-minute drive of Cortona, offering typical shops and restaurants. It is also close to Camucia, where the nearest train station and supermarkets can be found.
